ONLINE INVOICE TEMPLATE
Instead of downloading a blank invoice template and adjusting tables in Word or Excel, complete this simple invoice template directly in your browser. The formatted preview updates while you type and is ready to print or save as a PDF.
Use it as a contractor, consultant, UK limited company or self-employed sole trader. Optional fields stay off the finished invoice when you do not need them.

A standard invoice should clearly identify the supplier, customer, work supplied and amount due. Use this checklist before saving your invoice.
Include your legal name and any business name you use. If you trade under a business name, include an address where legal documents can be delivered. Select Sole trader in the generator to show the relevant fields.
Use the full registered company name as it appears on the certificate of incorporation. Company stationery rules also require the registered number, registered office address, place of registration and the fact that the company is limited.
Only VAT-registered businesses can issue VAT invoices. They require additional information, including a VAT registration number and an appropriate breakdown of net value, VAT and gross value. Specialist VAT cases may require other details.
